Why off-the-shelf didn't cut it.
SEO specialists, developers and designers juggle half a dozen tools to audit a single page — one for on-page SEO, another for trackers, another for PageSpeed, another to grab images. Most of them are paid, and worse, most send the page you're inspecting to a remote server.
For anyone auditing client sites or unreleased pages, that's a real privacy problem. The data of the page you're looking at shouldn't leave your machine just to get a score.
So I built it myself.
So I built SEO Aura as a single Manifest V3 extension with a local-first architecture — every audit runs inside the tab context, no backend, no analytics, no data transmission. It only runs when you click it.
One popup covers the whole workflow: a 0–100 SEO score on an animated radial gauge, a tracker/pixel detector, a copy-protection bypass, an in-browser image ZIP downloader, and Google PageSpeed Insights with Core Web Vitals — wrapped in a custom glassmorphic design system.
